Now we also have a Praxinoscope to accompany the Zoetropes come take a look and have a play.
As part of my contract as intern I was given some funding for professional development. With this funding I chose to explore other forms of puppetry and did a week long course at The Little Angel Theater in London. For anyone who enjoys puppetry or working with their hands I highly recommend it. It was a five day course making a three man prototype designed made and taught by Peter O'Rourke (please see link below for further details). During the course I learnt many new working techniques and used a verity of tools which I hope to incorporate in future work.
Recently a few of the Bower Ashton Interns got together myself included to exhibit some of our work unfortunately we only had one night to do it in the end but all in all it was pretty successful.

Just a quick paper mock up of the zoetropes before I get them laser cut on Friday just to check that the design works. They do YAY!
For any puppet makers interested in the props they are simply milliput cardboard cocktail sticks and paint
Stepping forward with the Zoetrope design and should hopefully have a new and exiting prototype up and running soon, check the laser cutter out in action very cool and our swish new Bristol School of Animation logo created by Matthew Wood
