All matters concerning studio use and access are managed by the senior technical staff. Please consult George Rumney or Libby Bass if you need any clarification, or have any questions regarding the availability or use of the technical studio spaces.



 
The stop motion production studio (1G08) can only be used after 5PM if the student has attended the appropriate Health and Safety induction workshop and completed an endorsed risk assessment on their intended project and practice. Testing can be carried out in 1G10 by any student who has completed the animation induction hubs.



 
Any behaviour or activity deemed to be unsafe will be challenged, and the technical staff can and will stop any activity which places the student or any studio user at risk.


 
Technical staff work from 9am to 5pm, and there is no technical support provided after 5pm. Please seek advice and facilitation within working hours, and do not attempt a complex or hazardous set up or activity outside of those times where you are supervised.



 
The animation studios are accessible to students until from 9.00 AM to 9.00PM from Monday to Friday during term time. They are regularly patrolled by security staff who have been made aware of the codes in place for your personal security and safety. Students are expected to adhere to the code of practice at all times.

The centre closes at 9.00 every Friday, and students are expected to vacate the building from 9.00pm.  This happens every Friday, regardless of deadlines and submissions. There is no weekend access, or access in holiday time.
