It's a good idea to have a play on Storyboard Pro and watch any training videos if possible before attending the workshop. Students must bring: Scanned in or digital drawings of a storyboard. A script saved as a text file. A portable hard drive or large capacity pen drive to save files. New Language and Vocational Terms Introduced: Drawing Workspace Timeline Workspace Panel Scene Sequence Key Processes/Technologies Covered: The drawing tools, using layers. The workshops Aims Are :
To introduce students to the Toon Boom Storyboard Pro software. To give students a starting point from which to create animatics and storyboards using this industry standard software. About Storyboard Pro
Storyboard Pro is industry standard software, created by Toon Boom, for creating animatics and storyboards. It can be used in 2d, CG and stopmotion pipelines. You are able to draw straight into the software using the drawing tools, or import scanned drawings or files from other programmes such as Photoshop. Storyboard Pro also allows you to import scripts as text files, or write scripts straight into the software and export PDFs or movies with visible script notes. Technical Learning Objectives: Students will be introduced to the Storyboard Pro interface and basic tools. During this workshop students will use the drawing tools within Storyboard Pro to create a short animatic and storyboard. Students will be shown how to import and export assets. At the end of the workshop students should have a basic understanding of Storyboard Pro and the tools needed for use in their pre-production pipeline. Links to training websites |
