Sign Up Workshops

Workshop training in other technical centres.


All of the animation workshops have been booked on your behalf by your module leader, and you will find details of their content on your timetable. Alongside your timetabled workshop training sessions however, you will have access to key training in other areas across the campus. These training sessions are called "sign up workshops" and many of them are open to any student enrolled in any course on campus. 

Booking a place onto a Sign-Up workshop, ACE (2014-15)

Booking a place onto a Sign-Up workshops is straightforward. 

Your Programme/Module leader will announce the Sign-Up workshops that are available to you via Blackboard. 

These announcements will contain hyperlinks to specific Sign-Up workshops and you can register onto the workshop of your choice by clicking on the hyperlink.

How to:
Once you have chosen the Sign-Up workshop you want to attend, click on the appropriate hyperlink and a screen will open showing further information about the workshop including:

• The date and title of the workshop
  
• Which specific Program/Module the workshop has been booked for
  
• Workshop start and end times
  
• The maximum number of places available
  
• Details of any equipment you need to bring with you
  
• General Health & Safety advice
  

From this screen you can register onto the Sign-Up workshop by clicking on the ‘Add to Basket’ button and following the on-screen instructions. 

Please ensure that you click ‘Confirm’ on the final screen. You will receive email confirmation when you have successfully signed up to the workshop. 

*If you are using the UWE Online Store system for the first time, you will need to create a new account. This only takes a couple of minutes and only needs to be done once.

Terms & Conditions

• To effectively manage workshop demand on the technical areas, enough students need to confirm that they wish to attend a Sign-Up workshop in order for it to take place. You should confirm that you wish to attend a Sign-up workshop at least TWO FULL WORKING DAYS PRIOR to the workshop taking place. If too low a number of students confirm that they wish to attend a workshop, it will not take place, any student who has signed up will be informed of the cancellation via email and the technical area will be put to an alternative use.
• Please don’t sign up to a workshop unless you are sure you are able to attend. Please ensure that you turn up to the workshop on time.
