Studio Access and Production scheduling Lv 3 2015
In order to help you to schedule your long term level 3 productions, the technical team has drawn up a series of "Users Access Agreements" based on the varied needs of the most common production paradigms.
While no one year group or student have exclusive access to any specific resource or location every effort is made to prioritise level 3 students in the main production studios during semester two.
This is also a good opportunity to reinforce the Animation studio users policy, and to highlight key health and safety information.

- Bottled drinks with tight lids only in the studios please.
- Do not bring friends or family members into the studios without clearing it with staff first.
- Do not encourage non-animation students to socialise in the production studios.
- Keep noise and disturbance to a minimum - put your phone on vibrate and use headphones if listening to music etc.
- When leaving your workstation, tidy up papers, wrappers etc and return keyboard, mouse and screen to a default position for the next user.
- Back your work up to the NAS drive, and clear the desktop of all files at the end of the session.
- Report any faulty equipment to technical staff, and do not move any equipment (Graphics tablets and pens, scanners, etc.) without clearing it with them.
The computer labs on the fourth floor are operated as a drop
in facility when they are not being used for workshop purposes. Computer
stations are offered on a first come first served basis. As a station becomes
vacant, it is then available for the next user. There can be no reservations or
holds for stations, especially in busier times of the year. During busy
production periods 4B18 will be ring fenced for certain student groups in
Production.
All stations in the digital labs are equipped with Maya, TV Paint and Adobe CC (Photoshop, AFX, and Premiere) and are accompanied by a wacom tablet or Cintiq. All Computer Labs have access to the NAS Drive.
