The Animation Technical Resource.
The Animation studios are located in the Bower Ashton campus on the 1st and 2nd floor of G Block. There 5 studio spaces housing a wide range of technical equipment and tools used in the planning and production of animated sequences. The studios have been designed to facilitate a range of animation processes, from traditional hand drawn and stop motion puppet animation to CGI techniques using Maya, Animate and AfterEffects.
Rooms coloured in orange on the map are part of the technical resource and are designed primarily as workshop spaces and are set for training and testing activity.New students will receive their induction training here, and when not in use for formal workshop delivery, these studios are open access for all students enrolled on animation for short term project work. Updated details of timetabled sessions planned in workshop spaces can be found on the door of each studio.

Rooms coloured in blue on the map are part of the technical resource and are designed primarily as student production studios. Each space is equipped with the appropriate industry standard software, hardware and specialist studio furniture key to engaging in long term animation production and post production. These rooms are designed exclusively for students on long term production modules,and are not used as teaching or lecture spaces. Access is negotiated through the appropriate senior technical instructor.

Rooms coloured in yellow are academic teaching/lecture rooms. Each lecture room is equipped with a computer and digital projector, and you will be timetabled here for formal presentations of your ongoing work, as well as for lectures, screenings and presentations by visiting guest speakers. Common areas are also marked in yellow.
