Technical Learning Objectives:
This workshop introduces students to the basic layout of the animation studios, and the nature and function of each room. It is a compulsory session which allows subsequent access to the animation studios. Students are introduced to their technical instructors, Mary and Ian, who will deliver a short presentation on key operational policies and codes of behaviour and practice when working in the animation studios, including essential health and safety issues, access policies, security strategies and good studio practice. A basic overview of formal technical instruction is also presented, along with a talk on negotiating technical support.
